There’s something about Nashville that knows how to hold a story. And The Cordelle does it in a way that feels both elevated and deeply personal. Tucked just outside of downtown, this venue blends old-world charm with modern, intentional design—quiet where it matters, beautiful without trying too hard.
I had the honor of second shooting Sadie and Cade’s wedding day at The Cordelle alongside @madeleinejohnsonphoto, and it was one of those days that reminds you why intimate, intentional weddings leave such a lasting mark.
Getting Ready at The Cordelle
The morning unfolded slowly, just how it should. Soft light filtered through windows, the kind that makes film photographers pause for a second longer. There was even a fun moment with the girls, lifting a little weight to get her arms ready (because why not). We loved every second of it!
These are the moments I’m always watching for. Not the rushed or over-produced ones, but the in-between. A hand smoothing fabric. A pause before stepping into the dress. The way time seems to stretch right before everything begins.

An Emotional Ceremony in the Heart of Nashville
The Cordelle’s courtyard created an intimate setting for Sadie and Cade’s ceremony surrounded by brick walls, greenery, and the kind of stillness that invites presence. When Sadie walked down the aisle, there was an immediate shift. You could feel it. Cade’s reaction said everything.
Their ceremony was deeply emotional and grounded, filled with meaningful vows and moments that didn’t need direction. Just space. This is where documentary photography shines—stepping back and allowing the story to unfold exactly as it is.

A Thoughtful, Joy-Filled Celebration
From the intentional details to the way their people showed up for them, every part of the day felt honest. The Cordelle is one of those Nashville wedding venues that allows couples to truly be present. Nothing felt rushed. Nothing felt forced.
As the evening settled in, candlelight and conversation filled the space. Laughter echoed through the courtyard. The kind of joy that doesn’t perform, it just exists.
